The Division of Women’s Affairs at our university is only the spring from which women drink, and it is what strengthens their sense of ability to determine the strategic goals that they want to reach in their lives. It can also be said that it is the place where a comprehensive change process takes place in the processes responsible for raising women’s status in society with the help of the state and society. And support them, and focus on the importance of politics and teamwork, to enable her to set her own agenda and goals, and increase her ability to control her life inside and outside the home. Supporting women’s sense of their value, self-worth, and right to access resources, and providing them with opportunities to benefit from them We have worked on setting priorities in our work tasks, the most important of which is what falls within the national strategic plan launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where they are introduced to their legal rights and obtain community support that helps them exercise those rights, through conducting campaigns to raise awareness of their rights. And mobilizing society to support them, and the effective implementation of legal rights, and on a large scale, legal training encourages the enactment of laws that support and defend women’s rights, and corrects any violation of rights through the use of the judicial system, in addition to providing non-traditional training opportunities for women and supporting the participation of women in the labor market who are At working age and maintaining the social fabric and its cohesion through the integration of roles between men and women to build a strong society. Ex: Seminar 1 The College of Education for Pure Sciences holds a book fair The Department of Mathematics in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, in cooperation with a special unit for women in the university presidency, held a book fair.It included the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Shuaa, which included various books about human women, novels, and poetry collections.Mentioned that the exhibition had supervised the nominations of Dr. Noura Karim and Dr. Kawthar Qassem. Ex: seminar 2 The College of Education for Pure Sciences holds an awareness seminar on the dangers of drugs The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at Wasit University, in cooperation with the Narcotics Directorate and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Shuaa, Dean of the College, held an awareness seminar entitled (Social media is a double-edged sword in the spread of drugs), where the importance of social media and its negatives and positives in the spread of drugs was clarified. Recommendations and guidelines have been developed to limit the spread of drugs and the optimal use of social media. Ex: seminar 3 The College of Education for Pure Sciences holds an awareness campaign against violence against women The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Wasit, under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Shuaa, Dean of the College, held an awareness campaign on the importance of combating violence against women. The campaign included publishing and distributing leaflets calling for the rejection of violence against women and the importance of their position in society. Ex: seminar 3 The College of Education for Pure Sciences holds a symposium on sustainable energy. The Department of Computer Science at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at Wasit University, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a scientific symposium entitled The Use of Solar Energy in Sustainable Development. The symposium aims to introduce the importance of using solar energy as an alternative energy to the energy sources used such as gasoline, gas and coal, which cause damage to the environment. It is also considered an exhaustible energy and the importance of using sustainable energy according to modern trends. The symposium recommended the necessity of turning to the use of renewable and sustainable energy sources, including solar energy, which contributes to preserving the environment and ensuring energy sources on an ongoing basis. |
